Explanation to professionals and end users: As all professionals of medical services learned:

Thymus gland decides the integrate function of immune system. Thymus gland is located in the upper chest under the breastbone. It has decisive effects on immune system. The active components of thymus peptide T® Injectable are composed of various peptides which have molecular weights of 1200~14000 Dalton. Our T-cells are derived from stem cells that grew in bone marrow and migrate towards thymus gland.

In thymus gland, T-cells get genetic information for their ability to identify and tolerate the cells of *SELF* and identify, attack 'FOREIGN INVADERS' or "non-selves" then eliminate the degenerating cells. In such ways, diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, funguses and all non-self substances are abolished.

According to most recent textbooks, about 5% of lymphocytes that migrated into thymus gland passed tolerance tests whereas remained 95% failed and were eliminated by macrophages.

The immune competent T-cells are then differentiated into T-helper-cells, T-suppressor-cells, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and killer cells.

Degeneration (aging) of thymus:

With the advance of age, the thymus gland gradually decreases in both weight and size until it blends in with the surrounding tissues. Consequently our immunity declined. Overburden from stress, psychological problems, nutrition imbalance, environmental pollution, alcohol, nicotine and other factors speed up the weakening burn-out process of immunity. The consequences are different kinds of acute and chronic diseases: infections, allergies, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, immune-defect diseases such as rheumatoid and malignancy etc.

Physiologic mechanisms:
1. Regulate the functions of macrophages.
2. Promote in production of various lymphocytes such as IL-2 and IL-3.
3. Levels of T-lymphocyte receptors increased.
4. Modulate proliferate the pre-natural killer (NK) cells.
5. Stimulate the differentiation and maturation of lymphocytes.
6. Improve the functions of granulocytes.
7. Activate helper (T4) cells.
Recommended dosage:
1. Preventative: Daily, 5-10 ml
2. Specific treatments for specific patients: Daily, 10-50ml (depends upon the clinical course of disease)

The recommended minimum duration of a treatment is 6 weeks and the treatment can be repeated. Physicians can increase the dosage according to the requirements of professional judgements.
